The rumor I heard from the friendly Express guy as I boarded the Metro was gang violence. NBC4 has the scoop that it did not likely occur at the Metro station. That is a relief for two reasons 1) that’s where we commute in and out of and 2) that is within view of our condo.
Selena believes, because of the in-flux of new development in downtown Rockville, the town will over-compensate with new security and safety measures. There is a lot of money being poured into the downtown Rockville area, they need to maintain the perception it is a safe place to live.
Reminds me of when there was a knife fight at the Silver Spring Metro station during rush hour once when I was living there. Just stay alert and be safe.
Maybe carry a spoon-holder with you at all times for self-defense?
Apparently there was another murder in Rockville this week. I won’t try to give the details cause Selena said everything I stated above was inaccurate.
