Selena’s ten-year high school reunion is tonight, and I am accompanying her. As long as I am by Selena’s side this evening, I will behave and be her fiance’ that she met in college, but if we happen to get separated for whatever reason, than I am making up a persona and playing off that I too was a Rockville High Ram, class of 1996.

It shouldn’t be hard to pull off, I figure I simply need to combine major events with times and places in the school. Such as:

• “You see OJ back in the news. Yeah, remember senior year when we heard the news he was found not guilty. I was in my history class, where we’re you?”
• Remember when we all got together senior year to watch that special 90210, when Dylan’s new wife, the hottie from the Noxzema commercials get accidentally killed? Yeah, it still haunts me too”

The only real concern I see is that if I do indeed look too much older than these kids, then as I bask in my convincing portrayal as a classmate, they will probably walk away trying to remember when they watched 90210 with their history teacher.
