The walk from Rockville metro to our home is incredibly short, but there is a brief five foot span through a path that is in a dark, shadowy area through some trees. Yesterday, I was only subconsciously aware of my surroundings as I was walking through this particularly dimly lit area when I heard footsteps coming up behind me and fast. The footsteps had got progressively louder and quicker to a stomping sort of run and I turned around to see Greg inches away from my face. Here’s the conversation that followed:
Greg:
Did I scare ya?Selena:

I must also add that this was the night that I had just finished reading “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer” on the metro.
I was both disappointed and relieved that your five years of karate didn’t kick in instinctively.
I would hit someone for that!
I will be starting Perfume tonight.
Yeah, I think there would’ve been a scream and/or a punch if it was me…. again, Greg is lucky he’s marrying you.
I need to start Perfume too!
Hahaha… is that where the body was?
Yes, it was on Dead Man’s Trail. Good memory kitty.
selena, roundhouse-kick, c’mon!
