Greg and Selena

Today is Selena and my eight year anniversary (according to me), there has always been a discrepancy about the date). But that issue should go away forever, provided that the date will move to our wedding day, and that day (god willing) will come before March 2008.

To celebrate this presumably final March 2nd Anniversary, we are getting away. Selena and I will be flying into Miami this evening and driving down to the Florida Keys. We are going to take a wedding working weekend, enjoying the tropical weather while at the same time looking into some of the options on our short list for a destination wedding in Key Largo, Islamorada and Key West.

See ya when we get back

That’s always tough to figure out – which anniversary to follow?

That’s the main reason we got married within a week of our first date anniversary. So as long as we celebrate the first week of December each week, we’re set. :)

That’s cool. I did a little research into Key Largo and Key West when Kathy and I were thinking of doing a destination wedding. Never heard of Islamorada though. Isn’t that the island where the undead pirates hung out in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie? If you find a chest containing Spanish coins while you’re there this weekend, you might want to leave that alone.

I had a good time in Key West many years ago when I went with MY MOM! Really…it was a sort of Christmas present when she was living in Florida…we drove down to KW for a few days. Sadly I wasn’t out to my mother yet, so when all the hotties in banana hammocks walked by I couldn’t easily check them out. Bummer!

Are you gonna have Jimmy Buffett sing at your wedding? And have the procession led by Hemingway’s 6-toed cats? That would be cool.
