While you are running out this afternoon to get your taxes date-stamped today, try to find a mailbox near a Ben and Jerry’s cause it’s Free Cone Day. This is one of Selena’s favorite days. In fact, I would wager she would gladly revoke holiday status for other lesser priority days such as Arbor Day, in order to show proper respect to this annual celebration. Aww- what?! is up w/ that… the only shop in DE is in Rehoboth- and they are not participating in Free Cone Day. What a jip! There are two in Philly (Rittenhouse Sq and U-PENN) and one in Willow Grove, but I really have no idea where those places are, and I’m not going all that way. That’s crap!
I remember Free Cone Day when I was working in NYC and there was a B & J right around the block from the office… I was a lowly intern, but after traversing the city all day for them, the bosses said to go out and grab a free cone! The line was long, but it was still a great day : )

I tried to get one of those so-called free cones today … the line was way too long and the bosses may wonder why 5 people where missing. That and it didn’t help that I work near the B&J’s in Rockefeller Center … too many people from the very tall buildings needing free cones today. Bastards. I’m paying for one tomorrow … if I am still the mood for ice cream.
