At least Selena knows where to put the dish soap. My roommate can't figure that out on her own.

Yeah, but that was to save hundreds of dollars worth of alcohol from going bad- there was a very fine line that needed to be drawn...

And for the record "not letting Jeff" is not a phrase that exists in our house, unfortunately : P

I think it's good you are trying to save water and decrease your, what's it called, carbon footprint. Another idea to that end may be not letting Jeff run his car in the driveway for a half-hour while he watches TV as was occuring last time we left your house after the wedding.

I understand... I hate it when Jeff opens the dishwasher mid-cycle, though I have been assured via the owners' manual that it merely causes the dishwasher to drain whatever its contents may be at the time, and then will have to start back up to reach where it was when you are quite finished interrupting its business!

I think my aversion to this unnecessary act, in that case, has something to do with wasting water, and a fear of generally "gunking it up" with detergent-filled uncycled water. I feel this is not unfounded as our now 7 month old appliance does not get the dishes sparkly clean, nor some of them clean at all... and yes, we have plenty of Jet Dry.
