Selena has been working at the Shakespeare Theatre for six years now and in that time we have not missed a summer Shakespeare Free-For All in the park here in DC. Her theatre takes the best show from its previous season and restages it for free in Rock Creek Park for two weeks around Memorial Day. Previous years have included Pericles, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet and King Lear. This Saturday we will be heading out to again enjoy the wonderfully clever Love’s Labor’s Lost in their open-air amphitheatre. If you know us and want to join for the picnic and play, please email or call.

Sorry we missed it this year- I hope everyone enjoyed the show though- I know I did when I saw it at the theatre! (We tried to call, but Miss K. did not answer… granted I should have left a msg.
)
p.s. In case you can’t tell, I’m really glad you’ve started posting again!
It was a really good expereince. The weather held up, we had great seats, and the show was really on, including the best I have ever seen the Nine Worthies performed (especially since scenery-chewer David Sabin was replaced cause he’s off somewhere writting his memoirs).
Awwww… now I know Jeff’s glad we didn’t go : ) But, I’m sad now that you reminded me again how good it was.
