On the day of the wedding, Selena and I are going to try to upkeep the tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony. Since we staying at the same small resort, this is going to be difficult, but we are working on ideas to occupy ourselves. Selena has planned time at the spa to do her hair and makeup with the girls, and I am working on a guy’s bonding event – building a sand castle.
In the a la carte menu of items we could have at our wedding one item that caught my eye was a sand sculptor who would build the couple an elaborate castle with multiple spires and towers, and the couples name carved into the front of the castle. It would be a beautiful edition to the beachfront ceremony, and it would only cost two thousand dollars.
Whoa, what?!?
That’s a hefty chunk of change, I thought, for something I used to do for free every trip to the beach. Then it hit me, I’ll do it myself, with a little help from my friends. So, provided the weather holds, and provided that there is truly a pile of a few metric tons of packable sand lying about, then Saturday before the wedding, in an attempt to distract myself and not run into Selena, the great Sand Castle making challenge is on.ÂÂ
Awesome! I can’t wait to see you make a representation of the Great Wall, or perhaps the Forbidden City.
That’s pretty kick-ass… good luck!
I’ll probably be doing what I’ll likely be doing every day there (Pinky…) TRY to TAKE OVER!!… the pool chairs. That’s right… just layin’ by the pool like a bum- I’ve got no plans : )
