Selena is afraid of three kinds of snakes: live ones, dead ones and sticks that look like snakes.ÂÂ
So when we were on a jeep safari on our honeymoon, and we stopped at a fruit stand for some samples from a local farmer, who happened to have a pet snake, I kept my eye on Selena trying to gauge how far she would run and hide.ÂÂ
To my complete surprise, she didn’t run, she didn’t scream, she didn’t back away. As the farmer wore his pet curled around his arm, Selena got up the courage to walk up and actually touch the snake. I think in my disbelief, I took a thousand pictures, to document my new wife taking the first step (and a pretty huge step at that) towards overcoming her greatest fear.

I, personally, had no issue with the snake but was disgusted by the farmer, because he was a Cowboys fan.
Wow, I would never touch what I’m most afraid of. Good for you.
Selena, if you are not too fond of snakes you would have flipped out had you been at our house last night. Mark and I were watching TV last night, when suddenly our cat burst out from under the Christmas tree chasing a SNAKE. (It was a tiny snake, about 10-12 inches, but it was still a SNAKE in our HOUSE!) Apparently it had been in the tree, which had been up for TWO WEEKS in our living room. V. scary, no?
OMG. Why did you tell me that. I’m freaked out about returning home now!
OMG and remember back when I found that snake slithering around my room like it owned the place?
