Coffee from this shelf fell down the chute of the ice maker making for coffee flavored ice water. Would you like a glass of ice water? With or without coffee flavoring?

I am embarrassed that those questions were relevant this weekend when we had a few friends over on Sunday to play some board games, eat pizza and drink beer or in some cases coffee-flavored ice water.

What happened was, the other morning I went to make the coffee and didn’t shut the bag properly. I put it back in it’s place in the freezer (where we keep the coffee) right above the ice maker. As I put it in there, some of the grinds at the edge of the bag spilled out into the freezer and down the chute for the ice maker.

I saw it happen and knew it needed to be cleaned up, but I hadn’t had my coffee yet, (priorities), so I figured I’d get back to it once I woke fully.

But I forgot.

So, when our guests went to use the ice machine yesterday, coffee grinds hitchhiked down the rest of the chute along with the ice and into the glass.

I still think of it as a bonus. After all – caffeinated water is the newest trend in beverages out on the market!

I totally didn’t notice – you must’ve fixed it by the time I weaned myself off the Coke Zero. Thanks again for having us over!!!

I tried it after you all left, and didn’t notice it at all. I guess S. and J. got the brunt of it earlier in the day.
