Greg and Selena

This blog is where Greg and Selena express their interests, share what they've discovered and engage with friends and family. Enjoy, and please leave a comment on the post below.

Gossip Girl-Gossip Girl never ceases to be the source of endless joy for us. To the point where Greg is reluctantly, but openly admitting he likes it. Supplemented by the Daily Intel’s brilliant recaps of the show? Perfection to the point where I get giddy.

The Tudors-Wow. It just makes sense for Gossip Girl to transition to this, because this is essentially the same thing. Joss Stone joins season 3 as Anne of Cleves. Add a splash of history, boobs, gay sex, a few good old Inquisition-style torture scenes and a constantly naked Henry Cavill. I am so there.

Weeds-We questioned this one when the gossip columns reported that a return of this show was in question. Then we learned that Nancy and gang were leaving Agrestic and moving to the Mexican border. The season finale of season 2, I argue to be the best season finale of any show, so all these reports left us hesitant. What we didn’t expect was season 4 to blow every other season of this show out of the water. We are anxiously awaiting a season 5.

Mad Men-This is a show about everything I majored in in college! The only way this show could be of more interest to me is if Don Draper crocheted bunnies too. I call this “Selena’s West Wing” and arguably the best show on TV.

Dexter-Admittedly, we are still catching up with this one on OnDemand and still a few episodes behind, but c’mon! Dex AND President Santos? Even when we thought this show had no where else to go, they had an ace up their sleeves. We are still loving the ride.

Project Runway-Speaking of sleeves, Project Runway still delivers. Greg claims that the only straight men that watch this are in long term relationships. Whether or not we can follow it to Lifetime and admit that we are watching a Lifetime show remains in question. Although, we are watching a CW show.

Lost-Aside from representing this show with a naked Josh Holloway picture, this is more for Greg. I believe he is eagerly anticipating Lost’s return, while I am just along for the ride. Details of last season are a little vague. I just remember Ben putting on a parka, jumping down an ice hole and turning a donkey wheel to create solar power or something. I’m sure it will come back to me at the beginning of next season.

OMG. Photos of Don Draper and a naked Sawyer in the same post?!? I may just spontaneously combust!!!!

I love Weeds, too. I’m always a season behind cuz I wait ’til DVD, so I’m still waiting for season 4. But I agree – they do killer season finales! I love the last scene of season 1, when she puts on that jacket. Bam!

LOST will come back to you, I promise. And if it doesn’t, we’ll keep you entertained with weekly obsessive blog posts and email threads. Have no fear, we’ll find that Island.

Don Draper, how I love thee…

Also — I’m a season behind on Dexter, cuz Netflix has had the season 2 DVDs on “very long wait” for way too long. But I’m about to start ep 5. I love Dex… but it still creeps me out a bit to see Darla the vampire as his girlfriend.

What do Darla and josh holloway have in common? They both played Vamps on Angel!

Thanks from me too, for heading off your post with a big ol’ close-up of Chace! While he may be the least interesting character on the show (okay, maybe 2nd to Eric… though at least he’s got a brain), he’s still the most photogenic.

And for that, your last line of that description seems absolutely fitting, as far as I’m concerned : )

It’s true about Selena getting giddy over Gossip Girl (alliteration, w00t). When the commercial comes around I am usually sighing because there is no way the blogger/narrator would know or be able to post whatever she just said (cause it happened in private), meanwhile Selena is sitting beside just laughing excitedly waiting for TiVo to get through the commercials so she can see what happens next.

I am very eagerly awaiting the return of LOST (Jan 21). If you are too, you can get excited by watching the promo trailer that just came out. Although if you are excited about LOST like I am, you already knew and have watched it 10 times.
