Anyone who has spent an extensive amount of time in Delaware knows about the Capriotti’s Bobbie. This sandwich features fresh sliced turkey, mayonnaise, stuffing and cranberry sauce wrapped in a sub and is the signature sandwich of the Delaware chain. Greg and I never fail to order one when we are in town. They are so decadent, that we only try to eat them sparingly when we are there.
So as last week was leftovers week, Greg and I were eating homemade Bobbies all week and surpassed our monthly quota to about 10 times the original number. Yet, we are still not tired of the sandwich.
As you can only imagine, our version of the Bobbie was enhanced with all of the same ingredients cooked homestyle from post-Thanksgiving.
So keep the Bobbie in mind next year as an amazing use of leftovers. And if you are ever in Delaware, forget about the Winterthur or the Hagley museums. You will be much happier having stopped at a Capriotti’s.

Now I have an idea of what to get for lunch!!!!
Bobbies sound yummy! Wonder if there’s a creation for Christmas dinner ham leftovers! Hope you guys have a wonderful holiday! Come to Roselawn sometime. You’re not too far away.
