Every morning I wake up, go get a cup of coffee, acknowledge this stack of Tupperware still sitting on the counter, and wonder if today will be the day one of us breaks down and puts it away.

The "Drying" Tupperware
We put all the other dishes away days ago, but Tupperware is a different beast. I loathe dealing with it because I know that the cabinet we keep all that in is too over filled (primarily due to Selena’s insistence to keep every plastic dish like even old cottage cheese containers), it will barely close.
So, I was relieved when we were emptying the dishwasher and Selena grabbed all the Tupperware. It was now her problem to figure out how to reengineer the stacks of plastic items already in the cabinet to fit these in too. Except she’s no dummy, she knows it’s impossible to put these away, so she just sits it on the counter “to dry”.
They have been “drying” on the counter now for ten days.
I will confess it bothers me that they just sit out not put way, so the odds would be in my favor, except that Selena loves to cook and these plastic items are right in her food prepping area.
Who do you think will finally give in and put the Tupperware away?
I have the same problem with an overflowing tupperware cabinet. They are all weird-sized and the lids never fit in anywhere, and every time I open that cabinet I have the risk of having it explode out on my head. Sometimes when I’m sitting in the couch I can even hear something fall *inside* the cabinet. So, yeah, I do sometimes just leave them out on the counter knowing I’m going to use them soon enough.
I’m betting on Selena!
This is why we almost exclusively use Gladware. It’s cheap as hell, and stackable. We still have an overflowing cabinet, but I can at least shut the door.
I’m betting on Selena as well. She has strong principles and a lot of inertia when she really puts her mind to it. I find that I get tupperware from my parents when they give me leftovers from a party. So once every 6 months or so, I get all my Tupperware together, check for lids and bottoms with no matches and give half back to Mom. They will eventually make it back to me, but its a cycle rather than a graveyard.
