The new puppy
Let me introduce you all to the newest member of the Robleto family, our lovely little (unnamed) shih tzu puppy.
Last Thursday and met this adorable 8 pound bundle of energy that the breeders called “the pick of the litter”. We played for a while, and I just knew she was a good fit for our home: small, not much for barking, not a shedder, and she and I got along well, (dogs and I don’t always get along so great). I told the breeder I needed to consult my wife and really think on it, but not half way home I texted Selena “I think we are getting a dog.”
Selena didn’t actually get a chance to meet the pup, she put her trust in me that I found one that we both would love. On our road trip to Georgia over the weekend we worked out all the logistics and bought all the puppy supplies, and then Monday when we got home, I picked up little… she needs a name.
We have a couple that we’re testing out, but we’re open for submissions. Here are another few pictures of our new puppy.

What name clearly comes to mind for you? Please tell us in the comments below.
Too Cute!
Adorable!
Hmm…some name ideas…
Dare I say Bella?
I want to play! (w/ the puppy- not the name game… only because Sookie is too ingrained in my mind now, so I can’t think of anything else : ) But, if you tell me that is not her name, I will belive you ; )
She is adorable!!!
Please do not name her Bella–she doesn’t deserve to be associated with such a snotty little boring character….although maybe Jason was just thinking how beautiful she is?
I am so not good at naming pets (hence my cat “Grapes”) so I’m afraid I don’t have a better suggestion, although some friends of mine give their pets titles–one cat is Sgt. Grumbles, which I always thought was cool. And I think Roxann and Don have picked out the name “Chester A. Arthur” for a future cat.
I don’t think the puppy blinks fast or frequently enough to be Bella, nor does her fur sparkle enough to be Edward (or some female equivalent).
She looks like “Oreo” to me
Call her Squat
Maude is a nice name for this little lady.
@jim, while we don’t have a name nailed down, we are sure her number is 44.
I love her smooshy face!!!!! She needs a cute name, ending in an -y or -i or -ie sound. I leave you with that condition.
She is so cute! May I trade bill for the puppy? He comes with a ps3 & lots of cool games.
Hahaha- Kathy that made me laugh so much : )
@kathy, that’s pretty tempting. Is Bill house-broken or does he poo on the kitchen floor?
The vote from WDW is still Mrs. Timberlake!
Awwww another shih tzu <3 I wonder what it would be like when she meets Aguai haha
She's soooo adorable :]
Congrats! She is adorable- I can’t wait to meet her!
She has this really funny habit of just darting in from a room at top speed and then just falls flat to the ground and skids the rest of the way to wherever she was trying to go. This morning when she did that, Greg called, “Safe!” So we were actually considering some baseball names. She’s also really good at jailbreaking the makeshift pen we’ve been putting her in, so Prison Break names have also been on my mind. And because she’s too little, she needs to be carried up and down steps and is scared of them.
Okay, as you can see, I’m really gay for this dog.
So very cute! How about Daphne? Elegant yet allows for the nickname Daffy when appropriate…
BANDIT!
AWWWW. Kiara will be so jealous She has been begging for a puppy. That and a snake! And, man, you have a lot of friends! 18 comments!
is kiara really the name for your pet sherry? like, from inuyasha??
um, yeah. selena. greg. and…dog. i just don’t see the “family” here. i say rid yourself of this menace. perhaps look into a superior mammal for loving comfort. i won’t make suggestions, i want your family to *feel* right. and by ‘feel’ right, i mean ‘smell’ right.
(congrats. i would call her sango so she could visit kiara at cosplay events)
